The Scoutmaster has three basic roles: providing the junior leaders with the tools and skills so they can run the troop, making sure the rules of Scouting America and chartered partner are followed, & being a good mentor and positive role model.
The chartered organization representative’s primary responsibilities are to help units to be successful and to provide coordination between the chartered organization and Scouting.
The troop committee chair appoints and supervises the unit committee and unit leaders, and organizes the committee to see that all committee responsibilities are delegated, coordinated and completed.
The Troop Treasurer’s responsibilities are to: Help the Troop committee and Scoutmaster establish a sound financial program and lead in the preparation of the annual troop budget for the troop budget plan. Handles all troop funds. Pay all bills on recommendation of the Scoutmaster and authorization of the Troop Committee.
